Transfers from Pattaya

are faster and more comfortable than shuttles, buses, trains and taxis to the city center, hotel, resort, airport, train station or to any other place you need to get to.

Why do tourists book private transfers from Pattaya?

Why do people book transfers from Pattaya

Transfer is a transportation service which meets and brings you exactly where you asked: a Kiwitaxi driver meets you at the airport (as close to the Arrivals as possible), at the hotel reception or at the exactly given address, helps you with your luggage and brings you fast- track to your destination.

You can pre-order inexpensive taxi transfer to the city center or to the airport, comfortable car transfer for the family with children, Economy minivan for a tourist group or a Luxury transfer. The transfer cost from Pattaya is fixed at the time of pre-order and never rises : either when the driver is waiting for the passenger, when the stop is necessary, or because of traffic jams.

Good driver?
Everything went perfect and I always will recommend your Company and service. Thank you.
I received the driver’s contact and let him know that our flight was delayed. He was waiting for us when we exited the airport. He was extremely friendly and helpful, giving us water and sweets for the journey. The vehicle was comfortable and the journey was easy. Very satisfied ?
The driver was very polite and arrived on time. It helped that he confirmed my name and showed me the reservation details. The car was clean and the driver drove carefully (without being on his cell phone at all). I used kiwi twice and I would recommend it to visitors in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The driver was on time. The trip was fast and pleasant. The driver was very attentive and as it is ours first time to Montenegro, he was telling us interesting facts and showing places around. All together was an excellent trip!
The service was great. Our driver was on time, friendly, and made sure that we were at the correct pier before he left, since it was a lesser used pier. All in all excellent! Thank you.

Transfers vs. Public Transportation and Taxi in Pattaya

Pattaya is the popular resort town in the southeast of Thailand. It is located on the eastern seashore of the Siam gulf, approximately 165 km away from Bangkok. Pricewise, the resort is less expensive than its neighbors, Phuket and Samui, which makes it even more attractive for tourists. In this article, we will tell how to get from the airport to Pattaya or the other way round.

Pattaya Airports

Tourists who chose Pattaya as their holiday destination arrive, as a rule, at the airport of Bangkok, Suvarnabhumi. Of course, the resort has its own air hub, U-Tapao, but it mostly serves domestic flights. Low-cost flights are usually received by another Bangkok Airport, Don Muang.

How to get from Pattaya to Pattaya U-Tapao Airport, train station or neighboring towns

The choice of transport is not very big:

  • buses and minibuses. They are the most popular mode of transport in Pattaya. One can get to Suvarnabhumi Airport by bus 389 of the company Bus Transfer Services. A lot of share taxis (tuk-tuks and songthaews) run around the city — this way, you can get to the main touristic streets, train stations, and to Pattaya U-Tapao Airport;
  • train. By train, you also can get to Bangkok, but there is only one train a day;
  • taxi. It can be taken on the street or ordered by phone. Uber and GrabTaxi have been recently forbidden in Thailand;
  • transfer. You should make a booking in advance online.

Trains depart from Pattaya train station not only to Bangkok, but also to Trat, Chanthaburi, Kanchanaburi, and Rayong.

Transfer vs. Taxi in Pattaya, booked by phone or taken on the spot

Advantages of a private transfer

Same price to Bangkok. You will pay around 1 500 baht (approximately 46,2 dollars) for a trip from Pattaya to Bangkok with an official taxi. With Kiwitaxi, you will get to Suvarnabhumi for 47 dollars.

No need to pay extra for toll highways. A taxi driver may charge you 30 baht extra for a trip along every toll road. You will not be able to understand how many of them there actually are and if a driver is trying to deceive you. In case of a transfer, everything is crystal clear: its price is fixed and known already at the moment of booking.

You can book a transfer at home without concerns, and in order to take a taxi to or from the airport in Pattaya, you will have to either look for a car on the street or call and talk to the Thais in broken English.

Disadvantage of a private transfer

A trip to U-Tapao Airport is 13 dollars more expensive. A taxi service in Pattaya for three people costs approximately 1 000 baht (30 dollars), and a transfer for four — 43 dollars.

Transfer in Pattaya vs. Buses and Minibuses

Advantages of a private transfer

Available round the clock, unlike buses to Bangkok which run only from 07:00 to 22:00.

Way more comfortable. To put it mildly, the tuk-tuk and songthaew are not very comfortable. In a transfer, there is an air conditioner, a trunk, and a minivan or child seat can be ordered if you are traveling with a child or a big company.

You will not pay a taxi fare for a tuk-tuk. If you are not careful enough, you risk using an ordinary tuk-tuk as a taxi. The drivers’ trick is very simple: as soon as you ask a driver if he/she goes to the point X and he/she nods — the tuk-tuk turns into a taxi service. The same applies to empty tuk-tuks: if you are the only passenger, be ready to pay more.

Disadvantage of a private transfer

Several times more expensive even if you travel in a group of 4. A bus ticket on 389 bus will cost 120 baht (3,6 dollars), and a trip by tuk-tuk or songthaew — from 10 baht (0,3 dollars).

Transfer in Pattaya vs. Train

Advantages of a private transfer

Travel when you want. Only one train a day (at around 14-00) departs from Pattaya to Bangkok. So, if you are late, you will have to search for another way to leave the airport or postpone your trip until the next day. A Kiwitaxi car can be ordered for any time convenient for you.

Minimum 2,5 hours faster. A train is en route for around 4 hours. And it is only the way from Pattaya train station to Bangkok train station. With Kiwitaxi, you will get from Suvarnabhumi Airport directly to your hotel in 1,5 hours.

Disadvantage of a private transfer

Much more expensive, compared to a train ticket which costs only 40 baht (1,2 dollars).

What is worth visiting in Pattaya?

If you like beach holidays, it is better to go to the islands of Ko Lan, Koh Sak, Ko Krok, or Ko Sichang.

In Pattaya, you can climb the Big Buddha Hill, a complex of religious monuments, the main of which is, in fact, a gilded statue of Buddha.

Also, visit the famous Sanctuary of Truth. It is one of the highest wooden buildings in the world (105 meters).
