It can be difficult for a tourist to leave Barcelona: even a two-week vacation is too little for such a colorful city. Transfers make parting more comfortable. You wonât have to look for a taxi stand or a bus stop and wonât have to carry all the suitcases.
You book a transfer in advance and come to the air hub with comfort. The voucher will contain all the information about your booking.
There is 12 kilometers between the city and the air hub. The transfer will take you there in 20â25Â minutes. The cost of the trip starts from 40 euros.
Taxi to El Prat

A taxi to Barcelona Airport El Prat will cost 35â40 euro. You will pay an extra fee for a suitcase: 4 euro per piece.Â
There are three tariffs:
Tariff 1 is used for weekdays from 08:00 to 20:00. The cost per km is 1.17 euro.Â
Tariff 2 is for a night trip on weekdays from 20:00 to 08:00. The cost per km is 1.47 euro.Â
Tariff 3 is applied on Sundays and holidays. The cost per km is 1.31 euro.Â
The total sum depends on your destination.Â
Donât expect Catalan taxi drivers to speak English. They are not required to. If you are not confident in your Spanish, write the place of your destination on a piece of paper. Â
If you have too much luggage (for example, youâve bought too much jamon for all of your relatives), it can be a problem to find a spacious cab fast. Itâs better to be on the safe side and book a transfer in advance. You can choose a suitable car online.Â
Public Transport to Airport
If we havenât convinced you that a transfer or taxi is the best bet and you still want to discover the charms of Spanish public transport, here you go.
Aerobus A1. It goes from Plaça Catalunya to Terminal 1. You will pay 5,90 euro for a one-way ticket.
Aerobus A2. It connects Plaça Catalunya and Terminal 2. You will recognize a blue bus with a sign âAerobusâ.
Train. You can use the R2 North Line to get from Sants railway station or Passeig de GrĂ cia railway station to the air hub. The price is 4,20 euro.
Metro. Choose 9 Sud metro line to get to your destination. The fare for a single metro journey is 5,15 euro.

Weather
The air hub has two terminals. The main one is Terminal 1. Itâs used for EU flights and receives the majority of flights. Regional or low-cost airlines are served at Terminal 2.
