Transfers vs. Other Ways to Get from Alicante Airport
International Airport Alicante (Aeropuerto de Alicante-Elche) is the third biggest airport in Spain. Annually it receives more than 10 million passengers, having, however, only one terminal. From this airport tourists travel not only to Alicante but also to other towns in the east of the country: Benidorm (Costa Blanca), Torrevieja, Calpe, Denia, Campello, Valencia.
How to Get from Alicante Airport to Alicante City Center or the other way round
The airport is located 13 km away from the center. There are only three ways to get there:
- by bus. The stop is located on the second floor of the terminal (Level 2). The route you need is С-6 going to Plaza Puerta del Mar (the square in the center of Alicante). Buses go daily from 06:40 to 23:00 every 20–25 minutes. Tickets can be bought directly from the bus driver;
- taxi service at Alicante Airport, which can be taken on the spot or ordered via the app;
- transfer, booked online in advance.
From the airport it is also possible to get to Elche, Murcia, Torrevieja, Benidorm, Denia by bus. If you are arriving in Alicante at night, you will only be able to get to your hotel by transfer or taxi.

Advantages of a private transfer

Minimum 16 euro more expensive. Any taxi from Alicante Airport to the downtown will cost 19–25 euro. The transfer price on the same route starts from 41 euro.
It is cheaper only when travelling to Benidorm. A taxi trip cost to Benidorm will make 70–87 euro depending on time of day and distance to your hotel. A price on private transfer from Alicante Airport is fixed — 70 euro.

Advantages of a private transfer
You can get twice as fast to your hotel by transfer. Bus trip will take at least 40 minutes, including waiting time.
