The communication after booking had been great, via email and WhatsApp. The allocated driver, Alejandro, messaged that he would be waiting in the airport on the agreed time. We were earlier through security than expected and he was already waiting for us. The van we booked was super nice and clean and Alejandro was helpful with all our luggage. Great service!

Transfers from Shanghai Pudong Airport

Are you willing to visit the Yuyuan Garden or admire the classic skyline at the Bund? No matter why you plan to visit Shanghai, it is better to make your trip as comfortable as possible!

If you arrive late at night, there is no public transport to the city. A transfer is the best option to solve this issue. Here is why:

The driver arrives at the air hub when the plane lands. He will be waiting for you with a nameplate and will help with your baggage.
You do not have to search for a currency exchange point once you arrive. You place an order on the Kiwitaxi website, pay online, and that is it!
Save time and energy. You will be taken right to your destination without changing transport. There is no need to learn the public transport lines and you definitely will not get lost in the city!

The air hub is located 30 km away from the city centre. It takes around 40 minutes to reach and. The trip costs 44 USD.

Taxi from Shanghai Pudong Airport

It is possible to take a taxi in Shanghai Pudong Airport. Official taxis have signs on their roofs. The cars can be found outside the Arrivals at taxi stands.

Most drivers do not speak English, therefore you need to have your destination written in Chinese on a piece of paper to avoid any misunderstandings.

The fare of a taxi from international Airport to the city centre is around 27 USD. The price may vary in accordance to your destination.

Public Transport

There are several options:

Metro Line 2 for 0.50 USD. The line works from 6 am to 10 pm. Your first destination from the air hub will be the Guanglan Road Station. From there, take the Metro Line 2 to East Xujing Subway Station. You can reach several centric locations from here.
The Maglev Train for 7 USD. It can be found at the air hub’s station. You can get to the Longyang Road Metro Station which is connected to several central lines. The train works from 7:02 am to 11:42 and departs every 15-20 minutes.
The Air Line 2 to the City Terminal for 3 USD. It works from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm and departs every 15-25 minutes from both terminals.

Booking an Airport Transfer

A transfer must be booked at least 24 hours before the trip. If there is less time left, leave a request anyway. We shall do our best to find a free driver with a suitable car.

What we need to know to book a trip for you:

When do you arrive? Indicate the time and date.
How many passengers are there? This will determine the car class. If you have any doubts, the Kiwitaxi specialists are always ready to consult you.
