We only discovered Kiwitaxi a day before we were due to leave our hotel in Luxor for the airport. We didn't want to pay the hotel's elevated rates for transfer, or get into endless haggling with the taxi drivers outside. Kiwitaxi.com let us know that they received our request and were searching for a driver. They confirmed the transfer a short while later. At 7am next morning our driver Hussein was waiting for us outside the hotel with a big sign with our name. Hussein was friendly and courteous. His car was new and very clean. He helped us with our luggage. We paid partly by credit card when booking, and the rest in cash in US$ to Hussein. This was an excellent service!

In Giza, the western region of Cairo, there are the famous pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure, as well as the Great Sphinx. Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt. Here we recommend visiting the famous Alexandria Library and the Historical Museum. A small town of Luxor on the banks of the Nile also has a large number of ancient monuments: Luxor and Karnak temples, the Pharaohs Valley with the tomb of Tutankhamun, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the funeral temple in honor of the god Amon-Ra. In order to get from the airport to the hotel in Egypt, tourists usually take a taxi or book it online in advance, as buses or shuttle buses are not so popular. The first transportation option will be somewhat cheaper, but most often this is the only advantage. The situation with taxis in Egypt is difficult: not all vehicles are equipped with taximeters, drivers often try to increase the price and usually go at a very high speed. Vehicles are mostly old and do not have air conditioning.

How do I book a transfer in Egypt?

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Egypt?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What should I do if my flight to Egypt is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
What should I do if my flight to Egypt arrives early?
If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.
You can also contact the driver by phone or SMS to speed up your meeting at the airport.
Important note: If possible, do not leave the airport with a local taxi service, as we will not be able to refund you.
How do I find my driver before my transfer in Egypt?
Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.
For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.
For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.
