How to Get from Sharjah Airport to Other Destinations
This International Airport is located 13 km from Sharjah. It handles about 12 million passengers a year and is the third busiest airport of the UAE. Tourists often search for ways to get from it to their hotels. There are different modes of transport, which includes taxi, transfer, and bus.
Taxi from Sharjah Airport
A taxi pick up area is located outside the terminals. Lines are possible. An average price of a taxi to the city is 65 AED (15 euros), and to Dubai – 170 AED (40 euros). A fee depends on a taximeter, therefore, in case of jams, it will be higher. Check if the taximeter is turned on while getting into the taxi. There is an additional surcharge of 20 AED for the trips from the air hub. In case you are going to other emirates, it might be better to take a transfer with a fixed price instead of a taxi.
Transfer from Sharjah Airport
More and more people prefer to take a transfer in order to get to their final destination. The Kiwitaxi company provides cars from the air hub. A booking of a transfer can be made online on the website. We work 24 hours a day and are always ready to answer your questions or organize a special trip on your request.
A fare of a transfer to Sharjah in a micro-class car is 31 euros, and to Dubai – 57 euros. If your family or group is bigger, you can take a minivan or a minibus. Thus, a trip to the same name city in a premium minibus for 6 persons will cost you 62 euros.
We also provide cars to Ajman, Abu Dhabi, and other emirates. More information can be found on the Kiwitaxi website.
Public transport from Sharjah Airport
Public transportation is the best option for luggage-free travelers. Take an orange bus in case you are going to Sharjah. It departs from the airport every 15 minutes and the ticket costs 7 AED (2 euros).
There are also coaches, which run between the airport and other emirates. Thus, a ticket to Dubai will cost you 20 AED (5 euros), and to Abu Dhabi – 40 AED (9 euros). There are also buses to other emirates. Check the timetables beforehand.
Public transport is not available at night. In case you arrive at the airport late, you will need to choose between a taxi and transfer.
