Milan Malpensa Airport: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Milan Malpensa Airport Terminals
Transfers from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) is the quickest and most convenient option to reach Italian most popular travel destinations: Venice, Florence, Verona, Rimini, Bologna, Turin, etc. From the air hub, you can get to the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa or picturesque Lake Como, the beauty of which became an inspiration for many famous poets and artists.
The tourist transfer will help you:
Reach your destination as fast as possible. You won’t have to waste your time searching for a stop or waiting for a driver: the Kiwitaxi driver will already be waiting for you at the appointed meeting point inside the terminal when you arrive.
Avoid currency exchange upon arrival. You can pre-pay for your ride by credit card in the desired currency.
Save your energy and nerves. As the air hub is located quite far from Milan, the trip there may be tiresome, especially if you have large baggage and travel by public transport. If you choose the Kiwitaxi service, you will travel to your destination in a comfortable air-conditioned car, without any other passengers.
This is the best travel option in case you have to leave the airport at night hours or travel with small children.
The distance between the air hub and the city is around 50 kilometers. Traveling with Kiwitaxi, you will reach your accommodation in 45 minutes. The trip will cost from 95 euros.
Taxi from Milan Malpensa Airport
Official taxis at Malpensa are generally white-colored. You can find the ranks at the Arrivals (ground floor) of both terminals. As the air hub handles a great number of passengers, it is often overcrowded, so you may spend lots of time in a cab line. Taxis of different radiotaxi services operating here can also be booked via phone. However, in this case, you will also have to wait until your car arrives. The ride to the city costs 95 euros.
Please keep in mind that licensed taxis at the air hub are not allowed to take more than four passengers. So if you are traveling with a large group of friends or your big family, you may have problems finding the suitable vehicle. In order to avoid such difficulties, book a tourist transfer in advance — Kiwitaxi provides a variety of minibuses for up to 19 passengers.
Public Transport from Malpensa Airport
There are 3 bus lines operating here: Terravision, Malpensa Bus Express (Autostradale), and Malpensa Shuttle. The fare to the city center is 10 euros (for an adult). Also, buses can take you to Linate and Bergamo air hubs as well as other Italian cities. You can buy tickets online, from ticket offices inside the Arrivals area of both terminals, or on the bus.
Another form of public transport running from here is trains (Malpensa Express). The adult ticket to the central station in the city costs 13 euros. One of the train lines also runs to other cities in Italy. To get a ticket, go to ticket offices inside the terminals or the carrier’s official website.
Public transport stops can be found at both Terminal 1 and 2. Please remember that most of these services are not available at night. To easily leave the air hub at this time, pre-book a transfer.
Booking an airport transfer from Milan Malpensa
If you choose this travel option, keep in mind that you need to make you booking not later than 24 hours before the trip. However, even if less time is left, we will try to find an available vehicle for you.
To reserve a car, you need to specify the following information:
The date and time of your journey;
The desired vehicle class: Economy, Business, Premium, or Minibus;
Whether you need any of the extra services: a child car seat, a bottle of drinking water, an additional stop on the way, or an extra hour of waiting.
After your booking is completed, you will receive a confirmation and a voucher via email. The latter will contain all the journey details: the date and time, the pick-up point, and the driver’s contact information.
