Train: You can also board the train at the Katunayaka station. It is approximately 1 km from the air hub so you will have to take a bus or cab to get there. You can pay for your ticket when you are boarding the train. The cost is about 1 EUR to go to Fort Station in Colombo city. You can then take another train that will get you to the Negombo Railway Station. The overall journey can take 30–45 minutes depending on the wait time for each train. You will still need to take another cab or walk to arrive at your hotel.

• Tuk-tuks: These can be found outside and can get you to locations along the Negombo Beach for 10 EUR or more.
• Uber: You can book a trip with Uber for as little as 5 EUR. You need to be precise about your destination to get the best price. Longer routes to your hotel will lead to higher rates.
