How to Get from Sihanoukville Airport to City Center and Other Destinations
Sihanouk or Sihanoukville International Airport is a small air hub serving flights to Sihanoukville – Cambodia’s coastal resort city. If planning your beach vacation in the city, take care to study options of getting from the airport to the city center or other destinations, which we share in this article.
Taxi from Sihanoukville Airport
You will find taxi stands in the airport’s arrivals hall. Local cab companies generally offer flat tariffs for rides. Getting to the city downtown by taxi will cost you around 20 euros and take about 25 minutes. A trip to Sihanoukville Port will make 25 euros and 35 minutes. You’d better take a map with you to show your exact hotel location to a taxi driver. Take care to avoid local tuk-tuk services, as they offer artificially high rates, trying to rip tourists off.
Transfer from Sihanoukville Airport
Compared to taxi, a private transfer is a more reliable way to travel. With this variant, you can choose a suitable vehicle class, know the price beforehand, and stay sure you’ll timely get your pre-ordered car.
At Kiwitaxi, you may pre-arrange a transfer in good advance, when planning your vacation at home. To make a reservation, provide your flight number, an exact address of the destination, and a number of passengers. Make sure to order child seats for small children traveling with you. An individual taxi transfer from the air terminal to the city center costs from 21 euros, taking about 25 minutes. For a 35-minute journey to Sihanoukville Port by Kiwitaxi, you’ll need to pay from 26 euros. The taxi transfer can be paid online by credit card at the moment of booking or to a driver in cash upon arrival to the destination. Fixed fares correspond to an ordered transfer class: at Kiwitaxi, you may choose among economy/business/minivan class for a 4-member family or take a minibus for a larger group of passengers. All vehicles are air-conditioned and under 7 years old.
Your transfer driver will track your flight updates to timely meet you in the arrivals area, help with luggage, and comfortably bring you to the drop-off point.
Public Transport from Sihanoukville Airport
There’s no public transport departing from here. You may search for information if your hotel provides bus shuttles from/to the air hub.
