Transfers vs. Other Ways to Get from Chisinau Airport 

Chisinau International Airport is the main air hub of Moldova. There is one two-storey terminal, which receives both domestic and international flights. Passenger traffic is more than 2 million people annually. As a rule, tourists head to Chisinau or Bender, Tiraspol, Orhei, and Odessa.

How to get from Chisinau Airport to the city center or the other way round 

The distance between the airport and Chisinau center is around 13 km. Here are the ways to get to the city: 

— express bus “А”, which goes from the air hub to Dimitrie Cantemir Square every 40 minutes from 07:00 to 19:00;

— share taxi № 165, which goes to the Ismail Street from 05:30 to 21:55, from the city to the airport  — from  06:00 to 22:00. The interval between buses is 10 minutes;

— taxi, which can be taken on the spot or ordered via the app;

— transfer, booked online in advance. 

The public transport stop is located right at the terminal exit, and tickets can be bought from the driver. After 22:00, it is possible to get to or from the airport only by transfer or taxi.

Advantages of a private transfer

No need to search for a car. It is difficult to call a taxi in Chisinau, not only in rush-hour but at any time of day.  The exchange rate is fluctuating, fuel prices have increased, and carriers refuse to increase tariffs for taxi drivers.  In order not to run a losing business, drivers do not take dispatchers’ orders: it is easier for them to find clients in the street and set their own price. If you have no wish to run around looking for a car, choose our service. 

No need to wait.  If you decided to order a taxi from Chisinau Airport via the app (there is no Uber in Chisinau, but there is iTaxi) or by phone, be ready to spend your time on waiting. Our service should be booked in advance, and it comes at the specified time.

Disadvantage of a private transfer

More expensive. You can get from the airport to Chisinau center by taxi for 70-120 Moldovan leu (3-5 euro). Transfer of economy class to any point in the city will cost 19 euro.

Advantages of a private transfer

Nothing ruins your plans. Public transport in Chisinau isn’t so great either: timetables and routes change unpredictably. City buses and trams, you planned to use to get to your hotel, may not go there at all. Even worse, if it happens on your way to the airport. Much more expensive even for a group, as a ticket on a bus or share taxi costs only 3 Moldovan leu (0,15 euro). One seat in the transfer for four people will cost approximately 4,80 euro.
