How to Get from Kaunas Airport to Other Destinations
People traveling to Lithuania always wonder how to get from Kaunas air hub to the downtown and other Lithuanian cities. The airport is located 14 km from the city center and there are different methods of transportation both to Kaunas and other big cities.
Taxi from Kaunas Airport
A taxi from Kaunas Airport to the downtown will cost you around 20 euros, however, in case of traffic jams, the price can get higher. Public transport from Kaunas Airport
The bus number 29 (29E at night) connects the air hub with the center of the city. Their timetable depends on the flights. The last route goes to the downtown after the arrival of the last flight. However, it is always better to check the timetable. The price is around 1 euro if you buy a ticket from the driver. You can also buy an e-ticket in the arrival area. It will cost less but do not forget to validate it while entering a bus. The trip will take around 45 minutes and include several stops.
