How to Get from Como to Other Destinations
It is a town, situated in Lombardia, in the north of Italy. People, who go to see famous Lake Como, visit the town too. While some visitors prefer spending their holidays in little villages around the lake, others choose Como, which is famous for a great historic background. Therefore, tourists wonder how to get from this beautiful town to the nearest air hub, and other nearby places.
Taxi from Como
Taxi in Como can be easily found near rail and bus stations. The fare of a trip to Malpensa will be around 90 euros, however, taxi prices can differ on holidays and nighttime. Do not forget about possible traffic jams. Moreover, not all taxi drivers will agree on going there, as some companies do not provide connections to the airports.
Transfer from Como
In case you want to plan everything in advance, you might choose a transfer service. The Kiwitaxi company offers you trips to different destinations. A 50-minute taxi transfer to Malpensa will cost you around 119 euros. A fare of a transfer trip to Milan is 104 euros, to Linate Airport – 141 euros.
We also suggest you transfer trips to Bergamo, Lugano and other Italian cities. More information on possible routes can be found on our website. One can book and prepay a vehicle by card right on the website or choose to pay in cash to the driver.
Public transport from Como
There is no bus connection between Como and Malpensa. You can go to Milan by a direct route, which operates only 1-2 times in a week, and then take another route from there to the airport. Or you can go to Milan by several routes, making changes during your trip, but is it worth it? In case you want to make your travel budget or do not like traveling by taxis or transfers, we advise you to choose railway, as they depart daily and have a precise timetable.
A railway is one of the most popular ways of transportation in Italy. Thus, a 2-hour trip from Como San Giovanni station or other Como stations to the air terminal will cost you about 17 euros. You will need to make a change in Saronno, for example. However, keep in mind that trains are not available at night. Check a train timetable before planning your trip in order to choose the best and fastest option. Also, keep in mind that strikes are common in Italy.
