How to Get from Almeria (LEI) Airport to Other Destinations
It is located in southern Spain, Andalucia. The distance between the air hub and Almeria city center is 10 km. In 2016, it was named one of the fastest growing Spanish airports. Those who are heading from here to other destinations choose taxi cabs, individual transfers, and public transportation.
Taxi from Almeria Airport
A taxi journey to Almeria city center costs around €20 (including the airport fee of €4.64) and takes 10-15 minutes. In order to find a rank, just leave the terminal - cabs are usually waiting near its exit. All taxis are equipped with taximeters. Always make sure your driver turned one on when you get into a car (thus, you will avoid price manipulation). Also, it’s better to keep a taxi check so that you can make a complaint if needed.
Transfer from Almeria Airport
Booking a private Kiwitaxi transfer may be a great option in case you want to save your time and trust your trip to a reliable company. We offer fixed rates which you know in advance: once you make your order, the price won’t ever change. With us, you don’t need to look for a rank and a suitable car: you choose the desired vehicle beforehand, and when you arrive, our transfer driver meets you in the appointed place. Getting from the air hub to Almeria costs €26 (Economy class). The same class taxi transfer to Roquetas de Mar costs €48, and to Carboneras - €68. You can make a payment with your credit card online.
Also, you may reserve a return transfer and thus keep yourself from worrying about how to get back to the airport after your holidays.
Public Transport from Almeria Airport
The cheapest way to get to Almeria from the airport is by bus N22. It runs every hour, and its journey time is around 35 minutes. The one-way fare is €1.05 The final stop is the bus and train station called ‘Estacion Intermodal de Almeria’. From there, you can go to other cities (for instance, Adra, Almerimar, Roquetas de Mar, Carboneras, etc.).
