How to Get from Ibiza Airport to Other Destinations
This International Airport (IBZ) is the airport serving the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Formentera. Its annual passenger traffic is more than 7 million people. The air hub is situated in the southern part of the island, around 7 km away from Ibiza Town. One can reach their destination by using public transport, taxi, or private transfer services.
Taxi from Ibiza Airport
A taxi rank at Ibiza air hub can be found right near the terminal exit. These cabs are white in color and are all metered. Taxi prices are fixed, and you can see them on a special timetable near the rank. Using this option, you will get to the port (which is in the city center) in 10-15 minutes and for around €15. Taking a taxi to the village of Sant Miguel will cost you €30. These are daytime fares; at night (as well as on weekends and during holidays), be ready to pay 15% more. Note that during high season, it’s not that easy to hire a taxi here as there are large lines of tourists waiting for cabs.
Private Transfer from Ibiza Airport
In case you wish to make your holidays pleasant and stress-free, booking an individual Kiwitaxi transfer may be of great help. With us, you won’t have to wait in the heat among crowds of other people: the driver will meet you right when you arrive and lead you to a car. Besides, it won’t be a problem to leave the air hub at night: with a transfer, you can do that at any time. Travel to Ibiza Town from the airport will cost you €46 for a minibus for 7 people. Baggage is included in transfer prices. On the website, you may also find the estimated travel times. The option of a return transfer may also be helpful.
Public Transportation from Ibiza Airport
Red and yellow buses N10 are the ones you need to reach the center of Ibiza Town from the airport. You will see ‘Eivissa’ written on them - that’s the name of this destination in Catalan. The one-way fare is €3.5. In high season, these buses may be overcrowded with youth.
Using buses, you may also reach other resorts. Thus, Line N24 runs to Cala Nova through Santa Eulalia and Es Canar (€4). Line N9 goes to San Antonio via San Jose (€4). However, these services are seasonal and don’t operate all year round.
During night hours, you may use only taxis and pre-booked transfers to leave the terminals. The options mentioned above don’t run.
Useful Information
The airport has only one two-story terminal. Passengers may find all the necessary facilities inside it as well as free Internet access.
