Taxi from Split Airport to Novalja

Cabs in this city are metered and have no specific color but are identifiable by the yellow sign on their roofs. They offer comfort and speed and can be found outside the terminal building.

However, the cabs will not take you to your destination directly, but will only drop you at Split main bus station (where you would then need to board a bus to your destination) for a pricey fee of around 250 kunas (37 USD). With so many tourists here especially during the summer, getting a cab may prove very difficult.

• By bus via Trogir

Board the local bus line 37 located on the main road outside the air hub terminal to Trogir. Departure is every 30 minutes on Sundays but 20 minutes on every other day. At Trogir, take another bus to the Novalja bus station. The total duration for this trip is about 5 h 30 min and costs around 151 kunas. Tickets are bought on board the bus.

• By bus via the local bus station

Board the bus line 37 or line 2 to the local bus station. The bus at the station departs twice daily, and will take you to the destination.

Although very cheap, none of the buses will take you to your hotel or other final destination. They are also mostly overcrowded with long departure intervals and several stops along the way, highly undesirable if you are with luggage and desire comfort and speed. All these limitations are covered by a transfer.
