How to Get from Olbia Airport to Other Destinations
Sardinia is one of the most popular tourist destinations. Costa Smeralda air hub, located about 3 km from the center of Olbia, welcomes flights from all over Europe and is especially busy in the summertime. Visitors often wonder how to get from the air hub to Sardinian cities and towns. Some of them take a taxi or transfer, while others prefer public transport.
Taxi from Olbia Airport
A taxi rank can be found outside the airport. An average fare of a trip to Olbia is 20 euros. If you are heading to Palau, be ready to pay 80 euros for a taxi ride. A journey from the airport to Santa Teresa di Gallura will cost you about 130 euros. The prices will be higher in the evenings and on weekends. If your resort is too far, we suggest you choose a transfer instead of a taxi. By this way, you will save time and money.
Transfer from Olbia Airport

Thus, a transfer from the airport to the city center will cost you 36 euros, and to Palau or Porto Cervo – 84 euros, in case you take an economy-class car. Public transport from Olbia Airport
You can easily take a bus which goes to Olbia every 20 minutes. A 10-minute trip to the city center costs around 1 euro.
Buses to different resorts depart from the airport according to schedules. Check them beforehand. If you want to save time, it might be better to go to Olbia and make a change there. For instance, a direct bus to Santa Teresa di Gallura departs only 4 times a day. A 2-hour trip will cost you around 7 euros.
Public transport is not available at night. Choose a taxi or transfer instead of it.
