Jeju is the capital of the same-name Province in South Korea and the largest city on the same-name island. The city has its own international air hub which is the second-largest in South Korea after Incheon and is also the major gate for the tourists to reach the province. 

Seogwipo is in turn the second-largest city on the island located on a rocky volcanic coastline. The city is popular among tourists for its numerous natural sights such as Cheonjiyeon or Jeongbang Falls. It can be reached from the air hub by several transport means. Taxis from Jeju Airport to Seogwipo

The stand is across the street from Gate 3 of the air hub. When you reach it, you need to follow the sign to find a cab going in the right direction: there are two different lines for Jeju City and your destination city. The cab service works on a first-come, first-served basis, so you will have to stand in line and wait until the car arrives.

There are two types of cars: a regular one or a jumbo for a group with a lot of luggage. There is a base fee of 2,800 Won (2,5 dollars) for a regular cab, and 3,500 Won (3 dollars) for a jumbo car. Taxi fare from Jeju Airport to Seogwipo is about 30,000 Won (25 dollars). 

You can try to bargain by the cars are metered and the drivers are usually not very good at English. 

Public Transport 

To reach your destination, you can take the limousine bus N600. Its stop is situated at Gate 5. The bus runs every 15-20 minutes starting from 6:20 am. The last bus leaves the air hub at 10:00 pm so if your flight lands later, you will have to think of another way to get there. On the bus, you can pay for a ride either in cash or by T-Money card which you first need to buy and top up. The fare is from 1,300Won (1 dollar) to 5,500Won (5 dollars), depending on your final destination and distance to it.

Keep in mind that you will have to walk to your accommodation or take local transport after the bus reaches your stop. If you want to avoid this inconvenience, book a private service.

About the Route

The route goes around the famous Hallasan National Park, so you will be able to see the volcano’s peak from the distance. On the way, you will surely enjoy the picturesque sceneries of the island’s nature.
