Budapest Airport to Nepliget Bus Station: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Budapest Airport to Nepliget Bus Station
Situated 4 kilometers from the downtown, close to the park and the metro station of the same name, Nepliget bus station is the main bus terminal in Budapest. It handles both domestic (long-distance) and international buses.
If you need to get to Nepliget from Budapest Airport, consider reserving a private transfer. This travel option is the most convenient and stress-free one, and here is why:
- You don’t have to get the local currency. In order to pay for local transport, you'll need to have some Hungarian forint. With a private transfer, you can avoid exchanging currency at the airport — just choose the option of a prepayment online and pay for your ride in the desired currency.
- You don’t have to be afraid of the possible language barrier. Not all taxi drivers in Budapest are good at English, so you may have difficulties explaining some trip details to them. With Kiwitaxi, you won’t face such problems, as your transfer driver will receive all the info needed in advance. Also, we offer English-speaking customer support that is available 24/7.
- You don’t have to worry about your children’s comfort and safety. If you travel with small children, you can easily reserve child car seats that suit their age.
The Kiwitaxi transfer from Budapest Airport to Nepliget bus station costs 30 euros and takes around 30 minutes.
Taxi from Budapest Airport to Nepliget Bus Station
The authorized taxi service at Budapest Airport is called Fotaxi — you can order their cabs through the booths outside the terminals (near its exits). Yellow Fotaxi cabs are waiting at the stand not far from the booths. Taxi fares are metered and consist of the starting fare, the cost per kilometer, and the waiting fee (if you get stuck in a traffic jam, the taximeter will keep running).
The average cost of a taxi from Budapest Airport to Nepliget bus station is 7,000 HUF or 20 euros.
There might be a shortage of available cabs at the airport rank at nighttime. Also, it’s usually difficult to find a large vehicle on the spot, as airport taxis are mainly sedans. Even if you find a minibus, it is most likely to accommodate 7-8 persons only. So in case you’re traveling with a group of more than 8 people, it would be best to pre-arrange a private transfer: we offer several types of minibuses with the largest one having 19 seats. Besides, the price for your trip will stay fixed once your reservation is made and won’t change even if you get stuck in traffic.
