How to Get from Turin Airport to Turin City Center and Other Destinations
Turin International Airport is located at Caselle Torinese, 16 km north of the city of Turin. You can travel from there to the commune of Carignano, as well as to the Turin Railway Station Porta Nuova, by taxi, public transport or by individual/group transfer.
Taxi from Turin Airport
It's quite simple to order a taxi at the Airport of Turin. You can do it by phone or using an online application (you have to download it to your smartphone in advance).
If you need to get quickly to Turin or to Carignano, it is better to call a city taxi service rather than use a private taxi. The fare will depend on the remoteness of one or another destination. For example, the price of a taxi from Turin Airport to the city center will be about 30-40 euros.
For tourists it always seems to be the best option. However, a trip from Turin Airport can be accompanied by some inconveniences. First, you will have to discuss with the operator in advance the necessary number of places for passengers and luggage, the presence of a child seat and other nuances. In addition, if you use a private taxi service, the price of a trip can change a lot.
There is another disadvantage. If you need to catch a train that leaves from the Porta Nuova railway station, you risk getting into a stressful situation, since the driver can be stuck in a traffic jam, and then you will have to call and wait for another car.
Transfer from Turin Airport
If you are thinking how to get from Turin Airport to the commune of Carignano, and at the same time you want to travel with maximum comfort, it is better to book a transfer. With the help of the Kiwitaxi service, you can quickly reach any destination in Italy and beyond.
It is better to book a transfer from the airport in advance. If you pre-book a car, the Kiwitaxi driver will arrive at the specified time and will wait for you at the entrance with a nameplate. With our professional driver you are guaranteed not to be lost, as he/she takes you straight to the car, and also helps to bring the luggage and put it into the boot.
On the Kiwitaxi website, you can see all available fares for a transfer from Turin Airport to the city center or to Turin railway station Porta Nuova, as well as to Carignano and Turin. For example, the cost of a trip to Carignano in an Economy class car is 95 euros, and it will take you about 50 minutes. We provide different types of cars, for example, you can book ski transfers from Turin Airport to Sauze d’Oulx and even a minibus if you’re traveling in a group.
The cost of the transfer is fixed. This means that it will not change under any circumstances. To confirm the booking, you need to make a payment in full online or give the sum in cash to the driver after arriving at your destination.
Transfer services are a great idea when you’re traveling with children and a lot of luggage. For the transportation of the child, we provide children's car seats, which must be ordered additionally when booking a car.
Kiwitaxi support service works for you around the clock. If you have any questions, you can call the specified phone number, and our English-speaking manager will help you to solve all the problems.
Public transport from Turin Airport
You can get from Turin Airport to the city by public transport as well - by bus or train. The bus runs every half an hour and arrives directly to the train station.
Also, you can get to Turin by train. The railway station is right next to the airport terminal. The journey time by train will be approximately 19 minutes.
Of course, public transport is much cheaper compared to the transfer. However, it does not provide the same comfort and safety. Moreover, the transfer will take you directly to the place where you decide to stay, and the bus or train only go to specific stops, from which you will have to continue travelling on your own.
