Taxi from Budapest Airport to Vienna
When taking a taxi at Budapest Airport, be careful and avoid illegal drivers — they often rip passengers off by taking the longest route. To book a licensed cab, head outside the terminal — near its exit, you’ll see the booths of the official taxi service (it’s called Fotaxi). Note that those cabs are metered, and if you get stuck in a traffic jam, you'll be charged for that, as well.

There might be a shortage of available cabs at night hours. Also, not every driver will be ready to go to another country. Another thing you should keep in mind is that not all taxi drivers at the air hub are good at English, so it might be difficult to explain some trip details to them. If you book a transfer, you won’t face all this: you’ll leave the airport at any time of the day without any difficulties and won’t have to discuss anything with your driver, as we’ll provide him with all the necessary info beforehand.
