Transfers vs. Other Ways to Get from Paphos Airport
Paphos International Airport is the second largest air hub in Cyprus, after Larnaca. It serves more than 1,7 million people a year. This is an arrival spot for tourists who want to spend their holiday in the southern or western part of the island: at the popular resorts of Coral Bay, Limassol, Peyia, Nicosia, Ayia Napa, Pomos, Pissouri.
How to get from Paphos Airport to Paphos town or the other way round
The distance between the airport and the city is approximately 6 kilometers. You can overcome it by:
- buses № 612 and 613. The bus № 612 runs from 07:00 to 00:30 during high touristic season (from April to November) and the rest of time - from 11:30 to 20:30. This way, you can get to Kato bus station in the city center. The interval is 1 hour 20 minute. The bus № 613 sets off from the terminal only four times a day and goes to Karavella station. Tickets can be bought from a conductor;
- taxis at Paphos Airport, which can be taken on the spot or book via the smartphone app;
- transfer, booked online in advance.
If you arrive after midnight, it will not be possible to get to the city by bus. Book a car service in advance or take a taxi at the terminal exit.
Transfer from Paphos Airport vs. Taxi taken on the spot or booked via the app
Advantages of a private transfer
No need to use an unknown app. In Cyprus, particularly in Paphos, you cannot use international aggregators such as Uber. There are local apps such as nTAXI, Taxidi, and IGOGO, but there is no guarantee, that these apps function well (or function at all).
Travel at the same fare. A trip by taxi from Paphos Airport to Paphos town costs approximately 25–40 euro, to Limassol — for 55–70 euro. The transfer to Paphos of Micro class costs 30 euro, an economy class to Limassol — 62 euro. But, a Kiwitaxi driver will not just drive you to your destination, but also meet you with a name sign right at the terminal and help you with luggage.
Cheaper to Coral Bay and Larnaca. Taxi to Coral Bay will cost 40 euro, and to Larnaca — 100–115 euro. Our service will cost 37 euro to Coral Bay, and 99 euro to Larnaca.
Transfer from Paphos Airport vs. Bus
Advantages of a private transfer
Get to your hotel even at night. Public transport stops operating after midnight.
Three times faster. Waiting for a bus № 612 may take around 1 hour and 20 minutes, and № 613 goes only four times a day. In addition, the trip to the city itself will take minimum 30 minutes. In case of Kiwitaxi, you will not have to wait for our driver, so you will get to your hotel in 30 minutes.
Get to Coral Bay without changes. There are only around 12 km between the airport and Coral Bay. However, you will have to make one change on your way: first, you need to go on the bus № 612 to Kato bus station, where you need to change to the bus № 615, which will bring you to Coral Bay.
Travel to Larnaca and Limassol at any time. There are only 3-5 buses a day departing to Larnaca and Limassol. You can book a Kiwitaxi transfer from Paphos Airport to Paphos town for any time convenient for you.
Disadvantages of a private transfer
Much more expensive, because one bus trip to Paphos costs 1,5 euro, to Limassol — 4 euro, and to Larnaca — 7 euro.
