Taxi Transfers from Budapest to Vienna

Kiwitaxi is a pre-booked transfer service: you see the price before you confirm your booking, and the voucher states the price for the route you ordered.

Extra charges may apply only if the trip conditions change, for example:

• You request an extra stop or a significant detour.
• You need additional waiting time beyond what is included.
• The number of passengers/luggage changes and a different vehicle class is required.

Important note: The transfer price usually does not depend on the weekend or time of day. However, during major holidays or big events, the price may increase due to higher demand.

Your transfer from Budapest to Vienna is arranged in advance for your party. Typically, the booking includes:

• Private door-to-door ride (no sharing with strangers).
• A pre-confirmed car class (as selected during booking).
• Meet-up instructions and a trip voucher with your booking details.
• Driver/dispatcher contact details (as provided in your booking communications).

Waiting time policy (most common cases):

• Airport pickup: the price includes 1 hour 30 minutes of waiting time after the scheduled arrival time.
• Hotel pickup: the price includes 15 minutes of waiting time from the time specified in the order.

Important note: If the included waiting time is exceeded, the driver may request an additional fee for extra waiting.

1. Enter the departure location in the “From” field and the destination in the “To” field (you can type a place name or an exact address).
2. Select the date, pickup time, and number of passengers.
3. Click “View Prices”, choose a vehicle class, and click “Book”.
4. Fill in passenger and contact details, and add a comment if you have special requests (child seat, extra luggage, pets, etc.).

Tip: If you need pickup at an airport or railway station, it is usually best to set the pickup time to your scheduled arrival time to make the meeting easier for the driver.

After you complete the booking, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with a voucher and all important trip details.

Kiwitaxi works on a pre-order basis, so the dispatcher needs time to confirm the transfer.

The timing depends on the vehicle class:

Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.

If you don’t have that much time, you can place an urgent transfer request. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service.

Yes. If your plans change, you can usually update your booking details. Common changes include:

• Pickup time
• Pickup/drop-off address
• Passenger name and contact phone number
• Child seat, extra stop, luggage notes

How to make changes (most common options):

• Via your Personal Account (usually available at least 24 hours before the trip).
• By contacting Customer Support if it is less than 24 hours before your transfer.

Cancellation policy (typical): you can cancel with a full refund up to 5 hours prior to departure for standard classes (Micro/Economy/Comfort/Minivan 4 pax/Minibus 7 pax) and up to 24 hours prior to departure for higher classes (Business/SUV/Premium and larger minibuses).

Important note: The free cancellation period and exact conditions for your booking are always stated in your confirmation e-mail and on the Modify/Cancel booking page.

If you paid online and you don’t receive a refund within 5–7 banking days (typical timeframe), please contact Customer Support.

Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during booking.

Meeting points depend on the pickup type:

• Airport pickup: usually at the arrivals area exit, after passport control and baggage claim.
• Hotel pickup: usually in the hotel lobby.
• Train/bus station pickup: usually in the arrivals area or a designated meeting point.
• Private address pickup: usually at the building entrance or the closest accessible point.

Detailed meet-up instructions are provided in your voucher. It also includes the phone number you can use to coordinate the pickup.

If your pickup is linked to a flight/train, we recommend adding your flight/train details during booking (or updating them later) to help coordinate the meeting.

If your flight is delayed:

• If the delay is less than 30 minutes, the driver may adjust the arrival time.
• If you become aware of a longer delay (or baggage claim takes longer than planned), please call or text the contact number provided in your booking communications and inform Customer Support.

If you arrive early: please go to the meeting point indicated on your voucher and wait. Your driver may not be there yet if the pickup was scheduled for the original arrival time.

Important note: If possible, do not leave the pickup location and take a local taxi service without contacting us first, as this may affect refund eligibility.

If you can’t see your driver right away, please check the nameplates again — the driver may not have noticed you passing by.

As soon as you find out you may be late or you can’t find the driver, please contact:

• The phone number provided in your voucher/booking communications (call or SMS),
• Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, via online chat, or by calling +442080682801.

Provide your order number and the updated arrival time.

Important note: Keep your mobile phone switched on — the driver/dispatcher may try to reach you.

If the driver fails to meet you, please contact Customer Support — we will help resolve the situation.

Choose your vehicle based on the number of passengers and the amount of luggage. During booking, you’ll see the passenger and luggage allowance for each class.

• Micro / Economy: best for 1–2 travelers with standard luggage.
• Comfort: more space for families or extra luggage.
• Minivan / Minibus: ideal for groups and multiple suitcases.
• Business / Premium: higher comfort and presentation for business trips or special occasions.

Important note: Maximum capacity is specified for each class. If you’re unsure, choose a larger class or contact Customer Support.

Yes. Many special requests can be arranged if you add them during booking (or contact Customer Support as soon as possible).

Popular requests:

• Child seat / booster: specify the child’s age (weight/height helps too).
• Non-standard/oversized luggage: skis, bicycles, prams, wheelchairs, golf clubs, large suitcases, etc.
• Extra stop(s): detours and long stops may require an extra fee — it’s best to agree in advance.
• Travelling with pets: if available, add the “I’m travelling with pets” option when booking. For everyone’s comfort, please transport your pet in a carrier and keep documentation with you.

Tip: Standard baggage is usually considered luggage with total dimensions (L+W+H) up to 158 cm. If you have larger items, mention it in the “Comment to order” field so we can help select the right car class.

This is a private transfer: the vehicle is reserved for you and your travel companions only.

You won’t share the car with other passengers, and the driver will take you directly to your destination (unless you request an additional stop).

Payment options depend on the country and route. You will see the available methods during checkout.

Depending on your destination, you may be able to choose:

1. Full online payment in a currency of your choice.
2. Small prepayment online, with the remaining amount paid in cash to the driver at pickup.
3. Cash to the driver (may not be available on all routes).

Important note: Your card may be charged in euros or dollars (shown during checkout). The exchange rate depends on your bank.

Yes. If Business/Premium/VIP options are available for from Budapest to Vienna, you’ll be able to select them on the booking page.
