You will find cabs directly outside. If you pre-book a taxi in advance, the driver will be waiting for you inside. The taxi market in Sweden is deregulated, which means every cab company or private driver can set any price they want. So it might take time to find a car at a reasonable price. Do not take the first car you see at the rank.
The price for a ride is usually calculated for a 10-km distance overcome in 15 minutes. You can see this price on the yellow board inside the car. Some companies, however, offer fix price about which you will have to ask in advance before the ride. Others work according to the taxi meter. Make sure it is on when you depart. The ride to the city center will cost approx. 80-90 euro.
You can pay both by card and in cash. Do not forget to take a receipt in case you forget something inside.
Public Transport from Malmo Airport
The only available mode of transport in the area is the bus. There are Flygbussarna coaches going to Malmo and Lund, and there is a Neptun bus going to Copenhagen. The coaches can be found directly outside the terminal.
Flygbussarna Coaches. The ticket to the central train station costs around 11 euro. You can buy tickets online, from the ticket machine, at a kiosk at the air hub, per SMS or from the driver. In the latter case, you are only allowed to pay in cash.
Neptun Buses. If your destination is Copenhagen, the Neptun bus departs three or four times daily every day. The ticket costs 10 euro and must be bought at least 3 days before your journey.
