Sharm El Sheikh Airport: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Sharm El Sheikh Airport
With around 9 million passenger traffic, this international airport (SSH) is the third busiest air hub in Egypt after Hurghada and Cairo. Located in the same name city, this air hub welcomes tourists who are heading to the best Red Sea resorts in this region.
From here, tourists can reach the city itself, Naama Bay, Nabq Bay, and other places. If you arrive at this air hub, you may be interested in booking an airport transfer to Sharm El Sheikh in advance in order to save your time and energy. With Kiwitaxi, booking and payment are easy and fast. Upon arrival, you can expect the best service as our drivers are polite, helpful and friendly.
You can reach the city center in 25 minutes for 22 dollars, and other districts such as Naama Bay, Nabq Bay or Sharks Bay for the same price and as fast.
Taxi from Sharm El Sheikh Airport
You can find cabs outside Terminal 1. They are available round-the-clock. Taxi can take you to the local hotels, neighboring towns and resorts. You can book a cab on the phone using the combination 122 but you need to have a local SIM-card for that.
It is recommended that you discuss the price with the driver in advance not to overpay upon reaching your destination. Baggage is usually included in the price, but it is better to ask about it beforehand, too, to avoid unpleasant surprises. Some drivers may charge you for any extra piece of luggage and for any stop on the way, which is not the case with our service.
The price of a taxi ride to downtown is around 13 dollars.
Public Transport from Sharm El Sheikh Airport
When it comes to public transport, only minibuses are available in this area. Private carriers offer rides to the city regularly. The stops are located near Terminal 1. Remember that there are no defined stops in this city, so they are usually made on-demand. If you do not know exactly where you need to get off, you risk missing your stop.
The minibusses depart from the terminal as soon as they are full. So you might have to travel on a crowded bus or miss the departure at all. The tickets cost around 5 dollars and can be bought from the driver. But first, you need to tell the driver where you will need to get off so he could calculate the right fare. The ride to the city center lasts around 15 minutes.
Booking an Airport Transfer from Sharm El Sheikh
