How to Get from Madrid City Center to Airport and Any Other Destinations
The capital of Spain is the biggest transport hub of the country. You can get from it to Granada, Toledo, Atocha Train Station or Barajas Airport by taxi, public transport or by transfer.
Taxi from Madrid

Taxi service in Madrid is quite a popular mode of transport. You can find a car here almost everywhere, so you do not even have to call a special service. All the taxis, usually are colored in white with a red stripe on the front doors. If you see a green light on the car, you can get inside with no doubt, the car is vacant.
Payment for a taxi is always made according to taximeter. You will be charged the starting fee of about 2.05-3.1 euros. It will take you around 30-35 minutes to get from Madrid city center to Barajas Airport by taxi. At the same time, time of day and day of a week may affect the prices: the fare for a taxi is much higher at night and on holidays.
Transfer from Madrid

Public transport in Madrid
One can get from the capital of Spain by cheaper mode of transport — bus, train or metro.
Barajas International Airport is located 12 km far from the city center. You can get there by metro if you take a train at Nuevos Ministerios station. The travel time will be about 15 minutes, and the fare will be around 5 euros.
It is better to use a bus or a train to get to the distant points. But do not forget, that public transport will not provide you with such comfort and safety as a transfer.
