Public Transport from Venice Treviso Airport
How to get from Treviso Airport to Venice? If you want to save as much money as possible, use public transport.
The bus №6 runs from Treviso Airport to Mestre Train Station, and its travel time is 15-20 minutes. The buses from the airport to the city center run from 07:45 to 23:35, and from 05.30 to 20.40 in the opposite direction. One can buy tickets from the bus driver or in the ticket office in the arrival area on the ground floor of the terminal.
It is possible to get by blue ATVO buses from the air hub to Piazzale Roma and the train station. One can also get from Treviso Airport to the city by bus №6 which drives you to the train station and after that you should take the train — to reach the last station Santa Lucia. The whole travel time will be about 40 minutes.
You will be able to get to the ski resorts from this airhub by special shuttles which are provided by Dolomiti Ski Shuttle. The shuttles run only in winter time and drive passengers to Arabba, Falcade, Val di Zoldo, Selva di Cadore, Canale d'Agordo, and Marmolada.
Venice Treviso Airport: useful information
Venice Treviso, also known as Treviso-Sant'Angelo Airport, was named in honour of Antonio Canova, an Italian sculptor. It is the second biggest air hub on the water, whereas the main one is Marco Polo which receives major flights.
Treviso Airport is located 3 km far from the Italian city of the same name and 30 km far from Venice. This is a small air hub with one terminal. Inside you can find lounges, restaurants, and shops. The shops there close for a night, so it is better to take care of food if you are planning to spend a night at the airport. It is allowed to stay over at Treviso Airport but the terminal closes at 23.00, and the passengers can not leave the terminal building until 6.00.
If you are not planning to spend a night there, you can visit the hotels in the neighbourhood. Fifty meters away there is a cozy guest house Venice Treviso Airport Bed. The price for a night there is about 50 euros. If you spend a night on Da Ninoti farm, it will cost you approximately 70 euros.
