The airport is located around 10 km northeast of Timisoara city center. The journey to the city by transfer takes approximately 25 minutes and costs 19 euros.

Taxis at Timisoara Airport are waiting in front of the exits of both terminals. It is advisable to use taxis belonging to taxi companies and avoid private ones (such cabs have the Taxi sign on the roof but don’t have the company name on them). Also, always ask the driver about the approximate fare to your destination before getting into a car and make sure he turns on the meter.
The approximate taxi fare from the airport to the city of Timisoara is 70 RON or 14.5 euros.
Note that not all taxi drivers are good at English, so it would be better to have your destination address printed out. If you don’t want to bother with that, order a private transfer: in this case, there will be no need for you to discuss anything with your driver, as he will get all the necessary journey details ahead of time. Public Transport from Timisoara Airport
There are also express buses E4 and E4B connecting the air hub to the city. Line E4 runs to the city center (Bastion) and reaches it in around 25 minutes. Line E4B goes to the main railway station (North) — it will take you there in around 35 minutes. The bus fare is 2.5 RON — you can buy tickets from the ticket desk inside Domestic Terminal. The bus station can be found at the end of the Domestic Terminal. The drawback of this travel option is that it’s not that frequent: on weekdays, buses leave approximately once an hour, and on weekends, they’re even less frequent. At night, they’re not available at all.
There are no public transport services connecting the air hub to other cities.
Booking a Transfer from Timisoara Airport

- the preferred car class
