Denpasar Airport: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Denpasar Airport
Denpasar Airport is located near the villages of Kuta and Jimbaran. Officially, it’s known as I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Serving around 24 million passengers annually, this airport is the second most busy airport in Indonesia.
The most stress-free way to get to famous holiday destinations on the island is a pre-organized private transfer. Using it, you’ll avoid carrying your baggage to the public transport or taxi ranks: the driver will be at the terminal strictly at the indicated time and help you carry your suitcases to the car. You’ll be taken straight to the door of your hotel — there won’t be any changes or unnecessary stops on the way. You’ll be traveling in an air-conditioned vehicle. The car will not be older than 7 years. You won’t face any language problems, because we’ll give all the necessary info to your driver beforehand.
Traveling with Kiwitaxi, you’ll reach the capital of Bali from DPS in 40 mins for 21 USD.
Taxi from Denpasar Airport
There are a few ways to take a cab at Bali air hub.
You will see people offering taxi services outside the terminal. If you’re not good at haggling, it’s better to avoid them, as they may rip you off. Outside the terminal, you’ll find the ‘Prepaid Taxi’ booth — there, you can order an official cab at a fixed price (you’ll pay for it, receive a ticket, go to the rank nearby and give this ticket to a driver). Be ready for a long line at that booth. Finally, you can leave the territory of the air hub and flag down a metered Blue Bird cab on the road — the drawback of this option is that if you travel with lots of baggage, it may be hard to carry it to the road, and, besides, those drivers often choose a longer route, so the final fare may be almost the same as the fixed one.
The official taxi fare to Denpasar from Ngurah Rai International Airport is 125,000-175,000 IDR or 8.5-12 USD (depending on how far your hotel is located).
It may be uneasy to find a taxi with a child restraint on the spot. And in the transfer, you can order a child seat, and it is guaranteed to be there
Public Transport
Three bus lines Sarbagita) running via the air hub: Line 1 goes to Tabanan (7,000 IDR), Line 2 — to Nusa Dua (3,500 IDR), and Line 3 — to Batubulan (3,500 IDR). To reach Denpasar, you need to take Line 3 — this ride will take around 45 mins. Bus services leave every 15-20 mins. The stop is located close to the exit of Domestic Terminal. The driver sells tickets.
These services don’t run after 9 pm.
Booking a Transfer
24 hours before the trip is enough for us to have our car for you. But even if there’s less time left, you can leave your request and we’ll try to find an available car for you.
You can make a booking in just a few steps:
- choose your pick-up and drop-off points
- pick the preferred car class
- indicate the date and time of your trip
- specify the number of child restraints or add other extra services if you wish to make your ride more comfortable (for example, drinking water).
Cost of Denpasar Airport Transfer
You don’t need to prepare local cash to pay for your travel with Kiwitaxi: you can prepay for it at home with your bank card in your own currency.
