I was pleasantly surprised that my return ride was GREAT. I had some problems with my first ride from the Istanbul Airport into town and had planned to also handle the return trip with Kiwitaxi. This drive and this trip was very good. The vehicle was clean, the driver arrived 10 minutes early, was very helpful in getting our bags into the vehicle, was polite, spoke Turkish, Arabic, and English. He was a safe driver, did NOT use his phone during the trip, was friendly but also was appropriately quiet. It was a good last impression that was left.

How to Get from Goa Airport to city of Dabolim and Other Destinations

Goa Airport receives thousands of tourists from Russia and CIS every day. Due to spectacular beaches and unique Indian culture, it is a desirable place for travellers to visit. One can get from Dabolim to Calangute, Assagao, Mulgao, Nagoya, Vasco da Gama, and other Indian cities by public transport, train, transfer or taxi.

Taxi from Goa Airport

It will take you 50 minutes by car, and 10 dollars to pay, to get from Goa Airport to the state center. The cheapest option is to catch a cab at the terminal entrance. There is no free Wi-Fi here, so it is not cheap to order a taxi service in Goa Airport, using a mobile application. It is much better to buy a local SIM-card in order to call one of the taxi companies.

It will take you 5-10 minutes to get to Vasco da Gama. The distance between the airport and the city is only 4 km. The travel time by cabs from Goa Airport to Margao or Panjim is approximately 20-30 minutes, and the average fare is 8 dollars. It will take you 1 hour to reach Candolim, and the price for the trip will be 9 dollars.

There is a train station one kilometer away from Dabolim, where you will be able to take a train to Mumbai, Delhi, and other Indian cities. The tickets are sold at the ticket office or may be purchased in advance via the internet.

Goa Airport: useful information

Dabolim Airport in India is located near the self-titled village, 30 km far from Panjim. The airport has 2 terminals: international one and inland one. There is a bus which runs in between. It is in Dabolim, where the cheapest Duty-Free zone is situated. You must pay if you want to use the internet in the airport area. One may get inside the airport after showing the ticket, not earlier than 4 hours before the departure.
