Our article tells how to get to Berlin or travel from its city center to the airport.
Berlin Airports
There are two airports in Berlin: Tegel and Schönefeld. The first is located 8 km away from the city, and the second — 18 km. Both air hubs receive both domestic and international flights. Schönefeld Airport mostly accommodates low-cost companies.
How to get from Berlin city center to Berlin airports, train station or to the neighbouring cities
Transport connection in Berlin is well-developed. You have several options to choose from:

Transfer in Berlin vs. Taxi booked by phone or via the app
Advantages of a private transfer
No extra fees. All taxi services in Berlin (including Uber) operate according to one official rate. There are also surcharges, for example, for travelling alone or paying by bank card. Kiwitaxi does not charge you for booking by card, and states the price for a car rather than for a number of passengers.
The same price for a trip to Schönefeld. The taxi costs 60 euro, and the transfer— 62 euro. But our driver will arrive on time, help you with luggage, drive carefully, and there will definitely be an air-conditioner in a car. If need be, you can choose a car of a bigger capacity: a minivan or even a minibus.
A trip from one airport to the other at the same price or less. A trip with local taxi cab between Berlin airports will cost 65–80 euro. With Kiwitaxi, you can get there for 68 euro.
Cheaper to Potsdam, because the taxi costs 80 euro, and the transfer — 74 euro.
Disadvantage of a private transfer
Twice as expensive to get to Tegel. Thus, a trip from the city center to Tegel will cost 21–28 euro. The transfer fare starts from 50 euro.
Transfer in Berlin vs. Bus, Shuttle bus, and Train
Advantages of a private transfer
Travel at night. Buses, shuttle buses, and trains do not run after midnight. The exception is night buses N7 and N60 to Schönefeld. The transfer service is at your disposal 24h.
No need to plan a complex route. In order to get from the hotel to the airport, you will have to make at least one change. If you plan a trip to another city, there will be more changes. With Kiwitaxi, everything is easy: you just need to specify your pick-up and drop-off locations. The rest is our concern. In case of any problems, our English-speaking customer support team with be always in touch.
Disadvantage of a private transfer
Much more expensive even for a group. A trip by bus and shuttle bus costs 2,8 euro, and by train — 3,2 euro.
