Public transport from Tenerife North Airport
You can also leave the airport by public transport. It is chosen mainly by people travelling alone, as well as by those who travel only with hand luggage.
Several regular buses run from the airport to the resorts and towns of the island. The ticket fares are from 2,45 euros, depending on the distance. For example, you can get to the resort of Playa de las Americas by a direct bus leaving from the exit of arrival hall of the airport. The ticket costs 12,4 euros, and the journey time is about 80-90 minutes. There you can change the bus and continue travelling, for example, to Costa Adeje or to Los Cristianos.
Tenerife North Airport: useful information
Tenerife North Airport has also another name - Los Rodeos. International planes land here. They are mostly flights from other islands, as well as from Spain and America. There are one runway and one passenger terminal.
The airport is very small in size, but here you can find everything for a comfortable waiting for your aircraft. There are duty-free shops, cafes and restaurants, ATMs, and a VIP lounge.
Despite the fact that this air hub is almost as developed as Tenerife South Airport, because of the uncomfortable location, it does not work at night and often closes even in the daytime.
