Baden-Baden Airport: Transfers and Taxi
Transfers from Baden-Baden Airport
Private transfers from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport (FKB) are the most convenient and hassle-free option to reach most visited German cities: Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Mainz, etc. Also, from there, you can get to Europa-Park — the second most popular theme park in Europe.
Here are a few benefits of this travel option:
- Faster travel. You don’t have to waste your time standing at the public transport stop or looking for an available cab: the driver picks you up at the specified time.
- Several car classes. If a standard sedan doesn’t suit your travel needs, you can choose a minivan or a minibus.
- Payment in the desired currency. When prepaying on the website, you can select from several currencies.
Also, we offer a few types of child car seats to those who travel with small children.
The airport is located 15 km west of the city. The ride to the city by transfer takes 25 mins and costs 56€.
Taxi from Baden-Baden Airport
There are several taxi companies cooperating with the air hub (some of them offer the limousine service). Taxis are waiting straight in front of the terminal.
The average fare to the city center is 40€ (for a standard sedan).
Keep in mind that there might be not so many taxis waiting at the stand, especially in the evening and at night. Also, be ready to explain your trip details in German, as not all drivers are good at English. If you don’t want to worry about not finding an available car on-site and having to speak the foreign language, choose a transfer: we guarantee that the driver will pick you up at the appointed time and will get all the trip information in advance.
Public Transport from Baden-Baden Airport
You can reach the city by bus — take Line 285 operated by KBB. It will take you to the city’s railway station in 20 mins. The fare is 2.6€ (you can buy a ticket from the driver). The bus stop is near the terminal — it’s marked with the sign with the green letter H on the yellow background. The service operates every hour until 23:15. On weekends and holidays, it’s much less frequent (check the timetable on the air hub website).
You can also take buses to other cities (Karlsruhe, Rastatt, etc).
Also, not far from the air hub, there’s a train station — you can reach it by special bus and then take a train to the destination city from there.
