How to Get from Setubal to Other Destinations
Setubal is a Portuguese city and a capital of Setubal District. It is located about 50 km from Lisbon. This quiet city has a great history and many interesting sights. There are different ways to get from Setubal to nearby cities, especially to the capital. Some people prefer taxi and transfer services, while budget travelers choose public transport.
Taxi from Setubal
You can go to the taxi station or call a cab by phone or via apps. A fare of a trip to Lisbon is 40 euros. In case you are going to Humberto Delgado Airport, a journey will also cost you around 40 euros. Taxi fares can be higher. In case of traffic jams and on weekends and holidays be ready to pay more. Transfer from Setubal
A taxi transfer is considered the fastest means of transport. You do not need to stand in taxi lines or wait for a bus. You pre-order a transfer in advance and it arrives at the appointed time to your hotel or accommodation. The Kiwitaxi company organizes cars from Setubal. There are several car classes, for everyone to choose the one he or she needs.

Public transport from Setubal
A direct bus to Lisbon departs every hour. A 50-minute trip will cost you 5 euros. You can also take a train to the capital. The price and travel time are the same.

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Setubal?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
