There are always taxis waiting for passengers at ranks in front of the terminals. Although official taxi drivers use a meter, nevertheless, make sure to ask an estimated price before getting in the car, just to be on the safe side. A taxi to the city center will cost from 14 euros and take around 30 minutes. You also may take a cab to Sopot or Gdynia: a trip to the first destination will make from 17 euros and take half an hour, and getting to the latter by taxi – from 20 euros and 40 minutes.

With a private transfer, you may rest peacefully and be sure your driver will wait for you near the arrival area with a sign, help you with luggage, and safely get you to the destination. Our transfer drivers can also act as interpreters – assist you during check-in at the hotel. Kiwitaxi offers transfers from Gdansk Airport to the downtown at fixed fares starting from 36 euros and taking around 30 minutes.

Reaching the city downtown by rail from the air hub train station will take about half an hour and from 3-5 euros. You also may take a direct train to the town of Gdynia for 3-6 euros per ticket. The whole trip will take about half an hour.
Useful information
Situated near the Tricity Metropolitan area – Gdansk, Sopot, and Gdynia – the International Airport was named after a former president of Poland Lech Walesa in 2004. The airport’s Terminal 1 has no check-in desks, but offers multiple duty-free shops located near the departure gates. The newer Terminal 2 is connected to the older one with a bridge, and planned to be extended.
