How to Get from Bar to the Airport and Other Destinations
Bar is a resort city in Montenegro located on the Adriatic Sea coast. There are three ways to get from Bar to Kotor, Budva, Herceg Novi, as well as the airports of Dubrovnik, Podgorica, and Tivat: by public transport, taxi, or prebooked transfer.
Taxi from Bar
Taxi is one of the most popular modes of transport with newbie travelers, those who are travelling with small children or have a lot of baggage.
To book a car to leave the resort is rather easy: you just need to make an order via phone or using an online mobile app. Almost all hotels in Bar have free Wi-Fi, so calling a taxi will be cheaper if you choose the second option.
The major taxi companies in Montenegro are Red Taxi and AlloTAXI. If you choose one of these services, be ready to pay around 0.4–0.8 euro for each km. The price for a taxi ride from Bar will also depend on the distance to the destination, time of day and number of passengers.
But if you want a cheaper travel option, you can take a private taxi. But note that private drivers do not always drive carefully, so if you are concerned about your safety, it is better to book a car with one of official taxi companies in Bar.
Transfer from Bar
How to get from Bar to Kotor or Budva without worrying about your safety and studying public transport timetables? The Kiwitaxi service can help you do that.
You can get from Bar to Tivat Airport by transfer in just 1 hour and 10 minutes. The trip will cost around 50 euros for an Economy-class car and 105 euros for a minibus up to 10 passengers.
You can learn all transfer prices online, on the Kiwitaxi website. The cost of each trip is fixed, it depends only on the car class you choose and will not change at night or under any other circumstances.
All our drivers are highly-professional, and they can take you not only to the airport, but also to your hotel, inn, or any other place you are going to stay in. If the way to your destination is long, you can ask for a stop to have a meal at a cafe, and this will not influence the trip cost.
If you already know the date you’re leaving Bar, it is better to book a transfer online in advance. To do that, fill in the booking form on the Kiwitaxi website. To confirm your order, make a small prepayment. The rest of the amount needs to be paid to the driver after arrival.
One of the advantages of the service is the opportunity to pay the full transfer price online in any desired currency. That is very comfortable for those who don’t want to withdraw money from their cards or change it to a local currency.
