How to Get from Zadar Airport to Other Destinations
This airport serves flights from all over Europe. It is located about 10 km from the center of the city. Visitors often want to know how to get from the air hub to Croatian cities. Some of them take a bus, while others prefer taxi or transfer services.
Taxi from Zadar Airport
A taxi station is located opposite the exit of the area of arrivals. The average price of a trip from the airport to the city is 170 HRK (22 euros). However, it might be higher. Croatian taxi drivers like overcharging tourists. Therefore, ask about the price before getting into the car. Do not hesitate to bargain or you can end up paying 400 HRK (54 euros) for a taxi to Zadar. If you are planning to go from the air hub to other cities, it might be better to take a transfer.
Transfer from Zadar Airport

Public transport from Zadar Airport
A bus departs every 1-2 hours. It goes from the airport to the Old Town, and the journey takes around 25 minutes. The ticket costs 25 HRK (3 euros), luggage included. From Zadar, you can get to other Croatian cities by train or bus. Check the schedules beforehand. There is no available public transport at night, therefore, decide between taxi and transfer services.

Zadar is worth a visit. This city boasts a great number of old churches. The most well-known is the Church of St. Donatus, which was founded in the 9th century. Nowadays it is just a museum and one of the best examples of the pre-Romanesque buildings. The ruins of Roman Forum are situated near the Church.
