How to Get from Manavgat to Other Destinations
Manavgat is a small Turkish town situated around 5 km away from the Mediterranean coast, on both banks of the river of the same name. Lots of tourists come to this place to see its famous waterfall. If you’re just visited this wonderful town and wonder how to leave it, you may choose one of these travel options: public transport, taxi cabs, or private transfers.
Taxi from Manavgat
If you want to leave Manavgat by taxi, you may take one from the local ranks or order one via phone. Official cabs have a yellow color and special roof signs. On average, a taxi ride to Antalya (city center) or its airport (76 km) costs €60. The average price for a cab journey to Side (5 km) is €8. At night hours, taxi tariffs may be higher. Please note that private cab drivers often avoid turning the taximeter on and then rip their passengers off, so always be careful when taking such a taxi.
Transfer from Manavgat
Booking a private transfer is the fastest and most reliable option to get from Manavgat to your destination. Public transport is the cheapest option to get from Manavgat to the nearest locations. For instance, dolmuses can easily take you from the town center to Side, and this ride will cost you only around €0.5. Also, you may take a direct bus to Antalya (Otogar bus station) and then change there to a bus going to the airport. The total journey to the air hub will cost around €3 and will take about 2 hours.
Please keep in mind that all these services are not available at night hours. Also, dolmuses are often cramped, and you may spend lots of time waiting for one to stop. So if you don’t want to spend your time waiting or need to take a trip after midnight, the best option will be reserving a private transfer or a taxi.
