Had a wonderful experience with Kiwitaxi! When I arrived, there was a nice young lady holding a sign with my name. I can’t remember her name, but she was really sweet and waited with me until my driver, Guilherme arrived. Guilherme was excellent! Very safe driver and I felt comfortable. He assisted with my baggage without me having to ask. The car was clean and he even had a cold bottle of water waiting for me. He was super polite and even messaged me wishing me a great trip! I will definitely be booking with Kiwitaxi and requesting Guilherme again! Thank you for a relaxing and comfortable ride!

The communication after booking had been great, via email and WhatsApp. The allocated driver, Alejandro, messaged that he would be waiting in the airport on the agreed time. We were earlier through security than expected and he was already waiting for us. The van we booked was super nice and clean and Alejandro was helpful with all our luggage. Great service!

The Republic of South Africa is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural state. Taxi in South Africa is quite comfortable and inexpensive. Some taxis have taximeters. In other cases, you should negotiate the price with the taxi driver. It is good to know the average tariff in the country in order to avoid overpaying for the trip. You can either book the taxi by phone or find it in large parking lots. We do not recommend using Uber, as local taxi drivers are very aggressive towards it. For example, once Uber cars were blocked from the access to the airport, and many people were late for their flights. Under any circumstances, do not try to hail cars. It is not accepted in South Africa. Most likely, only criminals will respond to that. It is dangerous not only for your valuables but also for your life.

How do I book a transfer in South Africa?

How far in advance should I book a transfer in South Africa?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What should I do if my flight to South Africa is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
What should I do if my flight to South Africa arrives early?
If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.
You can also contact the driver by phone or SMS to speed up your meeting at the airport.

How do I find my driver before my transfer in South Africa?
Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.
For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.
For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.
