How to Get to Westendorf
Westendorf is a small ski resort located in the Kitzbuhel Alps, Tyrol, Austria. The resort is set at an altitude of 620 m above sea level and attracts tourists with its reasonable prices. Also, this village is considered one of the most beautiful in the country. If you’re planning to visit this resort and thinking about how to reach it, there are a few travel options for you to choose from: taxi cabs, individual transfers, and public transport.
Taxi to Westendorf
Traveling by taxi cabs is a fast way to reach Westendorf. If you’re heading to the village from some airport, you may take a cab from its rank which is usually located in front of the terminal. Also, inside some air hubs, one may find official taxi desks. Besides, you may contact local cab companies by phone or make a booking via their sites. The average price for taxi travel to the resort from Innsbruck Airport (90 km) is €150, from Salzburg one (140 km) - €165, and from Munich one (160 km) - €250. Note that it may be difficult to find a spacious vehicle on the spot. Also, not all local taxi drivers are English-speaking.
Transfer to Westendorf

Using public transport is the cheapest way to get to Westendorf. Thus, trains will get you to the village from Munich air hub for around €40 and in about 2 hours. Rail travel from Innsbruck air hub will cost €15.30 and will take 1 hour and 30 minutes. Getting from Salzburg one will cost €40 and will take 2 hours and 30 minutes on average. No matter where you’re heading from, be ready for at least two changes on the way.
Bear in mind that trains don’t operate at night hours. To take a trip at this time, pre-order a transfer or a taxi cab.
