How to Get to Hippach
The small village of Hippach lies in the center of the Zillertal valley which is the most famous ski area in Austria. The resort is located at an altitude of 630 m and attracts tourists with its calm and friendly atmosphere. If you’re one of those people planning a trip to this charming Tyrolean village, you may be interested in how to reach it. Thus, there are public transport, private transfers, and taxis you may choose to get there.
Taxi to Hippach
Taking a taxi is a fast and comfortable way to reach Hippach. The nearest airport to the village is located in Innsbruck (70 km), and most often, tourists are heading to the resort from there. They usually take taxi cabs from the air hub rank or book them online or via phone. On average, such a journey takes 1 hour. The average price for a sedan taxi is €130. If you’re going to take a cab on the spot, be ready for possible communication problems as not all local drivers speak English. Also, it may be difficult to find a larger taxi at the rank.
Private Transfer to Hippach
A more convenient and faster travel option is using an individual transfer. In this case, you don’t have to look for an appropriate and available vehicle or wait for your driver. If you are traveling in a large group and have lots of ski equipment, you may easily order a minibus transfer (you may find several types of them on the Kiwitaxi website). Your driver will pick you up punctually at the time specified so there will be no need for you to wait. A transfer will take you directly to your accommodation without any stops along the way. The price for an Economy-class transfer to Hippach from Innsbruck Airport is €135. The Kiwitaxi website is available in English. Also, we offer an English-speaking customer support.
Public Transportation to Hippach
If you’re a budget traveler, a better option for you will be to use public transport. However, be ready for a much longer travel time and a few changes on the way. Thus, if you’re going from Kranebitten Airport, you first need to take a bus to Innsbruck main railway station (€2.7; 20 minutes). Then, at the rail station, take a train to Hippach (€12.1; about 1.5 hours and 1 change in Jenbach).
Bear in mind that these services stop running late in the evening. Taxi cabs and private transfers are the only options which may take you to the resort at this time.
In the resort of Hippach, one may find lots of activities. Among them are climbing, hot air ballooning, sleigh riding, dog sledding, etc. Some indoor and outdoor pools can also be found here.
