Decided quite late to leave the cruise ship and take the option of an o’night stay in Bangkok. Checked out a few transport options and settled on Kiwitaxi and we’re glad we did. Seamless booking, kept in contact, leading up to pick up, very pleasant, safe and efficient driver, very little English (and our Thai is non-existent) but he had all the information. The car was late model and very clean. We’re using the company again for our return trip - so far, seamless process. Highly recommend..

The booking was easy and choices of cars were great. Driver came early and I’ve seen him do final preparations for the car before sending us a message that he has arrived. Gentleman, dressed nicely, took our luggage in the car and closed our doors. The car was clean, driving was nice and we came with no issues or delays. There was even an accident on the road to which he took another route and saved us some time. 10/10 would recommend.

Albania is the most mysterious country in Europe with a unique language that does not belong to any linguistic family of the world. The country is also interesting due to the fact that in the days of communism about 900 thousand bunkers were built there, and they can be found in the most unexpected places, for example, on the beaches. There are several monuments to Mother Teresa in Albania. Although she was born in the capital of Macedonia, Skopje, she was an Albanian by birth. The city of Saranda on the Ionian Sea is not as popular as other resorts of the world, but it's good: there is more than enough place on the beach.
There are four ways of traveling around Albania, no matter whether you are going to the airport or anywhere else: buses, shuttle buses, taxis, and transfers. The official taxi in Albania can be found only in Tirana. It can be distinguished by the red "ATEx" logo on a yellow background. You can either book it by phone, or find it near big hotels. Private taxicabs are more common here. But hailing a taxi is not accepted in Albania. Drivers themselves will not approach you as well, even if they see that you need a taxi. The thing is that the taxation of taxi drivers is very strict here. If the police notice that drivers discuss a trip with a client, they will be accused of illegal business. And if the client approaches the taxi driver, it means the latter simply renders a free of charge service to the tourist. Private taxi cabs can be distinguished from ordinary cars only by an open door. In most cases, cabs are not equipped with taximeters, so it is better to negotiate the cost of the trip in advance. Be sure to bargain, as drivers tend to demand a double price. Study the route, if possible: the driver can choose a longer way.

How do I book a transfer in Albania?
Enter the departure location in the “From” field and the destination in the “To” field. You can enter the name of the place or specify the exact address. The drop-down suggestions will make the search faster and easier.

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Albania?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What should I do if my flight to Albania is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.

What should I do if my flight to Albania arrives early?
