I was pleasantly surprised that my return ride was GREAT. I had some problems with my first ride from the Istanbul Airport into town and had planned to also handle the return trip with Kiwitaxi. This drive and this trip was very good. The vehicle was clean, the driver arrived 10 minutes early, was very helpful in getting our bags into the vehicle, was polite, spoke Turkish, Arabic, and English. He was a safe driver, did NOT use his phone during the trip, was friendly but also was appropriately quiet. It was a good last impression that was left.

Kirill is excellent. Very caring, helping, intelligent with great driving skills. In our short drive home we had a guided tour around dinner of the Barcelona's famous neighbourhoods and landmarks and had a lecture on history of the city. Overall top notch service and great value for money.

How much is taxi fare in Uzbekistan? Fortunately, not much. But local taxi drivers tend to cheat tourists and set high prices, especially at the railway stations and airports. Moreover, Uzbekistan’s trade culture is based on bargaining which is not acceptable for some tourists. Uzbekistan taxi drivers normally prefer domestic cars: Daewoo Matiz and Nexia. Also, taxi drivers in Uzbekistan are permitted to pick up extra travelers during the journey which can also become an unpleasant surprise. As a result, taxi turns from private transport into the public one.

How do I book a transfer in Uzbekistan?

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Uzbekistan?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What should I do if my flight to Uzbekistan is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
What should I do if my flight to Uzbekistan arrives early?
If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.
You can also contact the driver by phone or SMS to speed up your meeting at the airport.
Important note: If possible, do not leave the airport with a local taxi service, as we will not be able to refund you.
How do I find my driver before my transfer in Uzbekistan?
Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.
For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.
For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.
