I was pleasantly surprised that my return ride was GREAT. I had some problems with my first ride from the Istanbul Airport into town and had planned to also handle the return trip with Kiwitaxi. This drive and this trip was very good. How do I book a transfer in Oman?

Enter the departure location in the “From” field and the destination in the “To” field. You can enter the name of the place or specify the exact address. The drop-down suggestions will make the search faster and easier.

Then, click on the “View Prices” button. Select the required transfer class and click "Book" to continue with the booking.

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Oman?

The timing depends on the vehicle class.

Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.

If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.

What should I do if my flight to Oman is delayed?

As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.

What should I do if my flight to Oman arrives early?

If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.

How do I find my driver before my transfer in Oman?

Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.

For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.

For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.

Transfer in Oman

Though Oman shares borders with the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, it is radically different from them — both in culture and nature. Women here have almost the same rights as men, and the local nature is rich in both deserts with dunes and beaches with waterfalls. Here, one can even find fjords and forts! The number of the latter there is more than 500. The most famous of them is a fort in the town of Bahla which is on the list of UNESCO. In the capital of the country, Muscat, one should visit the Al Alam Palace and a mosque erected in honor of the current Sultan loved by the nation. In Salalah, you will find wonderful beaches and endless coconut and banana plantations.

It is better to travel around Oman by taxi, as public transport in the country is only share taxis (small buses) which comfort level is almost zero. Besides, for instance, in Muscat, all sights stretch along the coast and are not concentrated somewhere in the city center, so it will be difficult to get to all of them on foot. Taxis in Oman are rather old and usually white- or orange-colored. There are newer cars running from the airport, hotels, or shopping malls, but their fares are much higher. Local vehicles are not equipped with meters, so you should negotiate the trip cost in advance and bargain with a driver. Women are recommended to sit in the back seat of a car.
