Decided quite late to leave the cruise ship and take the option of an o’night stay in Bangkok. Checked out a few transport options and settled on Kiwitaxi and we’re glad we did. Seamless booking, kept in contact, leading up to pick up, very pleasant, safe and efficient driver, very little English (and our Thai is non-existent) but he had all the information. The car was late model and very clean. We’re using the company again for our return trip - so far, seamless process. Highly recommend..

Transfer in New Zealand
The island country of New Zealand seems to many people a place from another planet. It is not for nothing that local landscapes were used as decorations for movies about Middle-earth. There are almost no problems with the taxi in New Zealand: a car can be ordered by phone or via the mobile app (but there is quite slow Internet here), you can pay for it using your bank card even in the smallest village, and drivers work strictly according to a meter. However, there is one large drawback: this country has the highest taxi tariffs in the world. One kilometer here costs almost 5 dollars, and, for instance, the price for a 20-minute trip from the airport to Auckland city center will be 100 dollars. But you may also choose a shuttle bus to get from the airport to your destination in New Zealand which will be much cheaper. But such a transport option won’t be of high comfort level.
So if you want to meet your travel budget and prefer traveling with comfort, choose a Kiwitaxi transfer from or to the airport or any other location in New Zealand. How do I book a transfer in New Zealand?

How far in advance should I book a transfer in New Zealand?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What should I do if my flight to New Zealand is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
What should I do if my flight to New Zealand arrives early?
If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.
You can also contact the driver by phone or SMS to speed up your meeting at the airport.
Important note: If possible, do not leave the airport with a local taxi service, as we will not be able to refund you.
How do I find my driver before my transfer in New Zealand?
Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.
For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.
For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.
