How do I find and book a transfer?

Specify the place of departure in the "From" field, and your destination - in the "To" field. You can choose the desired city, airport, train station, port, and hotel from the drop-down menu or enter the exact address of the place.

Click the button "View prices". Choose the suitable transfer class and click "Book" to proceed to the booking.

How far in advance should I book a transfer?

Minimum time of pre-order depends on the vehicle class.

If you want to book vehicles of Premium class or Minibus 10, 13, 16, 19 pax, you can make a booking not less than 24 hours before the trip.

If you choose standard types of vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax), transfer must be booked not less than 16 hours before its beginning.

If your trip starts later than the time given above, you can make an urgent booking. It will take some time for us to find a car. We will inform you as soon as possible if we can provide the service.

How do I know if my booking has gone through?

After you make your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a voucher containing your booking number and all the details of your journey.

If you have not received the email with the confirmation, please contact our manager by email at or in online chat.

What should I do if my flight is delayed?

As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number sent to you before, Kiwitaxi support manager via email or in online chat.

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.

How can I find my driver?

Important note: the driver will meet you with the sign showing your first and last names, which you specified during the booking.

If a pick-up place is an airport, the driver will meet you at the exit of arrivals area of the airport after you passed passport control and claimed baggage.

If a pick-up place is a hotel, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby.

Transfer in Mauritius

Mauritius is an island country in the Indian Ocean, the home of the famous dodo bird which went extinct in the 17th century. Besides, in Mauritius, one can find giant turtles. There was a large number of them near the resort of Balaclava before, but now this animal is under protection, and there is only Turtle Bay left in the city in memory of their glorious past. The main sight in Mauritius is multicolored dunes of Chamarel. The sand is naturally divided into sectors of all the colors of the rainbow and keeps these borders even if it is stirred on purpose.

Mauritius has an area of just 2000 square meters, however, taxis here are very expensive, especially ones traveling over short distances. It is more cost-efficient to rent a car for a day. In this case, you can make stops in different places, while the driver will be waiting for you. Also, he/she may give you a city tour. The most important thing is to negotiate the price and the route at once. A vehicle can be ordered by phone; booking via the Internet is impossible since there are no special apps. Taxis in Mauritius are mainly private, so different drivers may offer you radically different prices. At night, tariffs increase by 40%. If you are going to the airport, you will have to pay 10% of the trip cost extra for baggage and make a payment for coming close to the terminal. Note that taxi drivers may get you to various shops and cafes on the way, as they earn additional money doing this. If you don’t want to make additional stops, tell the driver about this before the trip. Each taxi has a yellow lamp on its roof and a yellow square indicating the district this car belongs to on its door. The driver can take passengers only in his/her region. Another travel option you may choose in Mauritius is local buses, but note that this is the least comfortable one.

If you don’t like bargaining, don’t speak foreign languages, and appreciate comfort, it is better to book a Kiwitaxi private transfer. If you want, you do not have to talk to the driver at all. All the information about your trip is specified in your request which needs to be made on our website at least 48 hours before the journey. Thus, you specify your pick-up and drop-off addresses as well as the necessary car class and then make a prepayment. Transfer prices are fixed and don’t change after the booking is made. Also, you can make a full payment for your trip at once. All stops on the way are made only on your request and are not charged extra. You can book a transfer in Mauritius to any location on the island, but if you are heading to the airport, calculate the pick-up time correctly. To do that, add about 3 hours (for force majeure circumstances) to the transfer time specified on the Kiwitaxi website.
