Public transport to Fussen
Public transport is the best option for luggage-free travelers. If you are heading to Fussen from Munich Airport, take a train to Munchen station firstly. Then, take a train to the resort. The 3.5-hour trip will cost you 40 euros.
In order to get to the resort from Zurich, you will need to do two changes. Take a train to Lindau, then to Kaufbeuren, and only after that – to the resort. The trip will take around 5 hours. Its price is 80 euros.
Check the schedules in advance. Do not forget that public transport does not operate at night. It might be better to choose in advance a taxi or a transfer company which you will use.
If you like sightseeing, do not miss the local castles. Moreover, you can go to the well-known Neuschwanstein Castle, as it is located only 3 km from the town. Even if you are not interested in going inside, do not miss a chance to see it and take some beautiful pictures.
