Kiwi Taxi has been a pleasure to work with. They accommodated our changing the pick up time in both picking us up and dropping us back off at the port the next day, They waited as we disembarked our cruise ship, where our overnight bags were put in the van for us and we were given water bottles. The van was luxurious and roomy, so the 2 1/2 hour drive was very comfortable. I will definitely use them again when I’m traveling.

We were a group of 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids), we have booked return transfer from Munich to Saalbach. The driver was nice and friendly. The trip went perfectly: the driver was waiting with a sign right at the exit and stayed in touch with us when our flight was delayed. He dropped us off right at the doorstep of our address in Castellammare di Stabia. The service deserves high praise. In addition, after you place an order, the company provides a discount coupon for your next ride, and compared to other services, it offers lower prices. I highly recommend it!

Kiwi Taxi has been a pleasure to work with. How to Get to Val Thorens
The town is a modern ski resort located in the famous Three Valleys area. Being the highest ski resort in the whole of Europe (it’s situated at an altitude of 2,300 m above sea level), it’s often called ‘the Roof of the Three Valleys’. Getting to this place from larger cities, tourists use public transport, transfers, and taxis.
Taxi to Val Thorens
Taxis at airports can be taken from the ranks near their terminals. Also, one may call one of the many services to book a cab to the resort. However, sometimes, tourists reserving a taxi via phone have to wait for a long time (and, sometimes, they don’t get a car at all). Also, some services may demand a large extra payment for waiting for your delayed flight (you may pay €50 for 40 minutes). On average, getting there from Lyon by taxi costs €320, and from Geneva or Grenoble - €270. Taking a cab from Chambery will cost not less than €170.
Transfer to Val Thorens
If you’re heading to Val Thorens with a large group or with lots of baggage, booking a private transfer with Kiwitaxi may be a good option for you. Using this service, you’ll reach the town fast and with maximum comfort possible. If you are a group of 5 people or more, you may choose a minibus transfer (such vehicle will be spacious enough to accommodate both you and all your baggage). A vehicle is pre-booked on the Kiwitaxi website (one may do that in a few clicks). An Economy-class taxi transfer from Chambery or Geneva airports costs €324, and from Lyon one - €384. Travel times can be found on the site. If you have a question about a transfer, feel free to ask our support.
Public Transport to Val Thorens
To reach Val Thorens from Geneva Airport (about 150 km), you may use the Altibus bus. An adult fare is €58. On weekdays, there are only 3 trips a day, and on weekends - 4.
Also, the Altibus service may take you to Val Thorens from Lyon air hub (about 180 km). An adult ticket will cost €62 plus €6 for one baggage unit. This service runs only on Fridays and weekends (2 to 4 trips a day).
Getting to Val Thorens from Chambery air hub (about 120 km) with the same carrier will cost €39 (plus €1 for tickets sent via email).
Public transport won’t get you to the resort late in the evening and at night. At this time, you may use only private transfers and taxis.
Useful Information
Besides great skiing conditions, Val Thorens offers its visitors an amazing sports center right in its heart, numerous wellness areas at its hotels, sleigh riding, snowshoeing, paragliding, etc.
FAQ
How do I find and book a transfer?
Specify the place of departure in the "From" field, and your destination - in the "To" field. You can choose the desired city, airport, train station, port, and hotel from the drop-down menu or enter the exact address of the place.
Click the button "View prices". Choose the suitable transfer class and click "Book" to proceed to the booking.
How far in advance should I book a transfer?
Minimum time of pre-order depends on the vehicle class.
If you want to book vehicles of Premium class or Minibus 10, 13, 16, 19 pax, you can make a booking not less than 24 hours before the trip.
If you choose standard types of vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax), transfer must be booked not less than 16 hours before its beginning.
If your trip starts later than the time given above, you can make an urgent booking. It will take some time for us to find a car. We will inform you as soon as possible if we can provide the service.
How do I know if my booking has gone through?
After you make your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a voucher containing your booking number and all the details of your journey.
If you have not received the email with the confirmation, please contact our manager by email at support@kiwitaxi.com or in online chat.
What should I do if my flight is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number sent to you before, Kiwitaxi support manager via email support@kiwitaxi.com or in online chat.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
How can I find my driver?
Important note: the driver will meet you with the sign showing your first and last names, which you specified during the booking.
If a pick-up place is an airport, the driver will meet you at the exit of arrivals area of the airport after you passed passport control and claimed baggage.
If a pick-up place is a hotel, the driver will wait for you in the hotel lobby.
Meet-up instructions are given in the voucher confirming your booking.
