Decided quite late to leave the cruise ship and take the option of an o’night stay in Bangkok. Checked out a few transport options and settled on Kiwitaxi and we’re glad we did. Seamless booking, kept in contact, leading up to pick up, very pleasant, safe and efficient driver, very little English (and our Thai is non-existent) but he had all the information. The car was late model and very clean. We’re using the company again for our return trip - so far, seamless process. Highly recommend..

Ecuador received its name from the equator which passes only 25 km from the capital of the state - Quito. If you are not sure how to reach your hotel from the airport in Ecuador, you can use buses, but it is better to choose a yellow official taxi cab with a strip on the door. You can either book it by phone, or hail it. Try to avoid illegal taxi drivers. Although Ecuador is one of the safest countries in South America, private taxi drives can still demand a very high price. Do not get in the car that does not have a taximeter or negotiate the cost of the trip in advance.

How do I book a transfer in Ecuador?

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Ecuador?
The timing depends on the vehicle class.
Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.
If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.
What should I do if my flight to Ecuador is delayed?
As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.
Provide the order number and the new arrival time.
What should I do if my flight to Ecuador arrives early?
If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.
You can also contact the driver by phone or SMS to speed up your meeting at the airport.
Important note: If possible, do not leave the airport with a local taxi service, as we will not be able to refund you.
How do I find my driver before my transfer in Ecuador?
Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.
For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.
For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.
