I was pleasantly surprised that my return ride was GREAT. I had some problems with my first ride from the Istanbul Airport into town and had planned to also handle the return trip with Kiwitaxi. This drive and this trip was very good. The vehicle was clean, the driver arrived 10 minutes early, was very helpful in getting our bags into the vehicle, was polite, spoke Turkish, Arabic, and English. How do I book a transfer in Colombia?

Enter the departure location in the “From” field and the destination in the “To” field. You can enter the name of the place or specify the exact address. The drop-down suggestions will make the search faster and easier.

Then, click on the “View Prices” button. Select the required transfer class and click "Book" to continue with the booking.

How far in advance should I book a transfer in Colombia?

The timing depends on the vehicle class.

Premium class vehicles or Minibus for 10, 13, 16 or 19 pax should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Standard vehicles (Micro, Economy, Comfort, Minivan 4 pax, Minibus 7 pax) should be booked at least 16 hours prior to your trip.

If you don't have that much time, you can book an urgent transfer. We will inform you as soon as possible whether we can provide the service or not.

What should I do if my flight to Colombia is delayed?

As soon as you find out that your flight is delayed, please inform your driver by calling the phone number provided to you, contacting Customer Support via e-mail at support@kiwitaxi.com, by using the online chat on our website, or by calling +442080682801.

Provide the order number and the new arrival time.

What should I do if my flight to Colombia arrives early?

If your flight arrives early, your driver may not be at the meeting point with a nameplate yet. Please wait for the driver at the meeting point indicated on the voucher.

You can also contact the driver by phone or SMS to speed up your meeting at the airport.

Important note: If possible, do not leave the airport with a local taxi service, as we will not be able to refund you.

How do I find my driver before my transfer in Colombia?

Important note: Your driver will meet you with a nameplate displaying the first and last names you provided during the booking.

For airport transfers, the driver will meet you at the arrivals area exit. It is located after the passport control and the baggage claim areas.

For hotel transfers, the driver will wait in the lobby.

When it comes to Colombia, you first remember scary stories about drug cartels and the cruel cocaine king Pablo Escobar. There are truly lots of places related to him in his hometown of Medellin. But Colombia is also known for the famous singer Shakira. In her birthplace, Barranquilla, there is even a sculpture built in her honor. Also, one of the largest carnivals in the world takes place here. Besides, in this country, one can find the Lost City (Ciudad Perdida), the crystal clear river of Cano Cristales, the Cathedral of Zipaquira built within a salt mine, and a variety of interesting museums in its capital — Bogota.

In Colombia, it is strictly recommended to use only official taxi services. There is a high rate of crime in the country, and tourists get robbed here more often each year, so never catch a car on the street. Official taxis are yellow-colored and have checkers on their doors and yellow lamps on their roofs. They can be ordered by phone. Also, you can use mobile apps for that. Though drivers of official taxis in Colombia use meters, you can bargain with them anyway. Note that a meter shows not a monetary unit, but a conventional one. What it equals is specified in a price list which must be found in each car. Also, such vehicles are required to have stickers with carrier’s tariffs on their doors or windshields. If you are going to the airport, you will be charged around 1.5 dollars extra.
