Usually at airports, taxi cabs are parked in front of arrivals area. Sometimes you can find their stands inside the building. Some taxi companies provide flat rates, while others prefer to use the meter. Anyway, you’d better know approximate fares to be on the safe side. An average taxi travel from Innsbruck Airport to the village costs 150-190 euros, taking an hour of time. Getting from Munich air hub takes 1,5 hours and costs 250-290 euros.
Transfer to Lermoos
Pre-booked transportation is a more reliable and predictable way to travel. It is especially handy for people with children, traveling in a big company, or with a lot of baggage. You can reserve a suitable class car for your transfer to make a trip convenient for each passenger.
To reserve a Kiwitaxi service, you should place an order on our website. Indicate your pick-up point, a destination address, a number of travelers, and if child seats are needed. You will know your transfer price when filling in the booking form – it’ll stay the same upon completion of the service. A private transfer from Innsbruck air hub will cost from 163 euros and take an hour, while a fare for a 1,5-hour travel from Munich Airport starts from 279 euros. At Kiwitaxi, customers may choose to pay online by card in advance or in cash to a transfer driver after arriving at the destination.
Your transfer driver will track your flight updates to timely meet you in the airport’s arrivals hall. After helping you with luggage, they’ll quickly and safely get you to the resort. On the website, you can order a return transfer, too.
Public Transport to Lermoos
You may take a tram 3 from Innsbruck air hub to get off at Triumphpforte station in the city. Then walk to Sudbahnstrasse station in the city to catch a bus 040 to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and finally change there to a train to the village. The trip will cost 13-20 euros per person and take over 3 hours. If departing from Munich air terminal, take a train S1 to the city central railway station, and change to R8 to Lermoos. You’ll spend 30-47 euros and over 3,5 hours of travel.
